:: New Small Group

Good afternoon everyone. We are reaching out to let you know about an upcoming small group opportunity “Together in the storm”. We are wanting to designate a time on Tuesdays for individuals to support one another through times of grief, loneliness, loss & suffering. Every loss has unique needs and circumstance. We all need community. There’s no logical progression for grief, so we all grieve differently.

This group will be facilitated by Connie Ripple. Working through the book (link provided below) Visits from Heaven, By Pete Deison.

Working together through the questions:

How do we live on in the presence of loss?

Can the promise of heaven really comfort us?

Why does loss hurt so bad?

Is heaven a place where real life continues?

If this is something that you may be interested in please contact me at connect@dresden.church for more information and details. This group is looking to meet on Tuesday with times to be determined. Let us know if there is a certain time frame that may best suit your schedule.

:: Dresden Kids Sing (Children’s Choir)

We can’t wait for this one! On Palm Sunday (April 9) our Dresden Kids will help lead worship!

Think of it like one of those old school children’s choirs you were forced to be a part of as a kid. Only, we’re going to make it super fun! We’re recruiting the giant group of kids here at Dresden, partnering them with our praise band, and ditching the kids choir robes from 1988 that are probably still in the church basement.

Starting Sunday, March 13, following our Sunday morning worship gatherings, we will have a brief practices with our praise band! It shouldn’t last longer than 10 minutes!

Here’s the song we’ll sing together. Listen to it at home and jam out with your kids.

:: New Office Hours

You spoke and we listened! In an effort to make our church staff more accessible and available for the needs of our growing community (did y’all see how many folks were crammed into the sanctuary on Sunday???), we’re changing up our office hours.

Starting next week you can catch Pastor Dan and Abby in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8am to 2pm and by appointment on Monday and Friday. See you next week on Main Street!
